Professor Solaire
VR educational game for kids teaching them about solar energy and sustainability.
This project was part of my 2nd year at Saxion University. During this project I worked on project planning, managing a team of 9 students. This was my first time managing such a large team. This meant that most of my time was spent on solving problems others would encounter during development.
On a creative level I worked on audio design and implementation. As this was a educational game we opted for a voice over style instruction loop.
During testing we’ve encountered a problem where players would run out of items to upgrade their solar panel. When adding more items another problem would arise. With having too many objects in the scene performance would drop significantly. To solve this I helped create a Microwave 3D printer that spawns in items that the player selects themselves.
